Whiteface Mountain, High Peaks Cyclery and Hcor.net are pleased to announce the first ever Hcor.net day at Whiteface Downhill Park on Saturday June 23, 2007. Hcor.net day will feature a full day of riding with discounted lift tickets with coupons available exclusively at Hcor.net. Following a day of riding will be an after party including live music, food, beverages, trials demonstration and bike films.

Here's a few things we are working on for Hcor.net day at Whiteface.
Damaged Goods (local band) will be playing at the mountain on Saturday June 23rd.
$25.00 lift ticket voucher available on Hcor only.
Trials demonstration at the mountain.
After dh party at Mount Van Hoevenburg. Van Ho is the site of the combined boblsled/luge track and biathlon range.
We have our x-c mnt. bike center located here. We will have a large screen showing bike films, free beverages (beer for those 21 & over) and soft drinks.
Another option that would be very cool is a night ride. This location is right at the trailhead to 30 miles of x-c trails. Fairly easy but tons of critters run in front of your bike at night. It's very cool.
We even have like 75 cheap hard tails with lights there. Maybe we could rent a bike and lights for something cheap like $10.00?
All else would be covered (free).

The best deal would be to buy a seasons pass for only $200.00 and ride all 87 days we're open.
The 2nd best deal would be to download the coupon on hcor and purchase a single day ticket on Sunday at the mountain. Total would be $57.00.
The free camping is available to all at my cabin if that helps.

Good luck on getting your bike ready for hcor day.
If it's in your budget our dh bikes this year will be so new still, you'd probably be taking out a new Giant Faith for it's 1st ride.
Rent a bike, get a discounted lift ticket and take advantage of the free camping & beer (if your of age), to help off set the bike rental.
A really big hcor day would be so awesome!
I mean the mountain is footing the bill (I think) for the live music. With a big turnout getting them to do this next year will be easy.
That is also why they almost shut us down a couple of years ago. They just want more people too.

here's the beef. im going to have to see how schedules are going to work out. there 3 of us and id have to get my hands on a tent. another thing - the other two are both proud hardtailer's but how do ya think theyd manage up there? they both have some burly bikes (a kona and a banshee) but do ya think they could manage more than a few runs?
also, how close is the camp site from the mountain?
it sounds like a great time im just trying to work out the feasibility of the situation. i mean come on. free beer.
