We have been working on the trails full time now for a little more than 2 weeks. On the Northeast Shore alone we have added a small (but flowy) step-up, 2 nice berms and a few more jumps and even extended the exit making this awesome trail even longer. There were a few spots that were always wet and now there are bridges in those places so you can keep your speed.
We will have some pics soon and a video of this newer trail.
We will also be adding 1 or 2 wall rides on this trail.
Very soon we will be making improvements on the other trails.
5 more weeks of making great trails even better is very cool, can't wait to ride them!

Is the mountain getting enough business to stay open?
I plan on going there this summer.

It has been challenging. We did o.k. last year and spent all the money we made on trail improvements and a awesome rental fleet.
We have lots going on this year and are counting on more riders.
Staying open 7 days a week turned out to be a good idea.

I will do my best to make it up there every month.
I wish a resort like them would keep stepping up to make it through the hard times because honestly they have the most potential and size to be like something out west.

The mountain bike park is owned privately by 2 downhillers.
Maybe they (orda) will step it up some once they see enough riders coming.
In the mean time we will keep plugging away at it.
Kind of a catch 22 because the fact that things are run entirely by downhillers, is a good thing.

hmmm... that seems like th boulder that we were hitting in the winter durng the storm, is that on the glade near the little whiteface lift? It looks very familiar. By the way mike, I think I saw you that day right after the big snowfall at the base lodge, youre a snowboarder right?

Good eye. That's used in the winter to launch off of. And yep I'm a snowboarder too.

You came to Whiteface last year without your bike?
What were you thinking?
Most of our trails are on the woods. From the gondola you really can't see any of the trails.
Tons of new hits, some new jumps, better flow, improved x-c trails, new signage and on mountain kiosks saying "you are here" and numerous projects that we thought about all winter.
One trail from the top does start out on the ski run "Approach". It is super fast and you get going around 40 mph or so. Even though I am a singletrack snob, starting out on that run is so fun!
