IMBA's Ski Resort MTB Seminar 5/8-9
Ski Resort MTB Seminar 5/8-9
Hi IMBA reps from the northeast,

Hey, IMBA is helping organize a two-day seminar on mountain biking at
ski resorts this May 8th and 9th at Stowe.

Just wanted you all to be in the loop.

I'd be psyched if you could forward this invitation to anyone you
think might be interested.

Thanks, Pete

Greetings from the International Mountain Bicycling Association!

I'm writing to invite you to a two-day seminar on mountain biking at
ski resorts.

It will be held on May 8th and 9th at Vermont's Stowe Mountain Resort
and is hosted by the Vermont Mountain Bike Association, IMBA, Kona
Bicycles, and Stowe Mountain Resort. This will be the first-ever
seminar presented in the eastern US on developing well-managed,
profitable, resort-based mountain biking.

We want to help your resorts:

-Build fun and sustainable mountain biking trails
-Create a biking revenue stream with a rapid return on investment
-Learn how to manage risk and safety
-Bring customers back to the resort outside the ski season
-Learn about the Kona Bike Park program
-Meet other ski area mountain bike managers
-Avoid some of the mistakes made in resort-based mountain bike
development

In short, the key to successful mountain bike resorts has been the
investment in purpose-built, managed, and updated mountain bike
operations. You will walk away from this seminar invigorated with new
and innovative ideas on mountain bike trailbuilding, resort-based
mountain bike operations, and risk management that will help drive
your off-season visitation.

Price: $525 (includes lodging and meals)

Presentors include:
Kelly Steelman from Kona Bike Parks
Pete Webber and Joey Klein from the International Mountain Bicycling
Association
Patrick Kell from the Vermont Mountain Bike Association
Other local experts

Attendees include:
Killington, Stowe, Smugglers, Magic, Sugarbush, The Balsams, Camden
Snow Bowl, Saddleback, and more.

For complete details, please contact myself or Patrick Kell from the
Vermont Mountain Bike Association listed below.

Best regards, Pete
