Looking for some advice on riding Mount Snow on my SC Heckler. The bike is set up XC but I want to try some downhill type stuff. Do you think I should ride my Heckler or rent a DH bike for the day.

As for equipment, I ride a KTM 250EXC and have a full face helmet, pants, jersey, chest protector, gloves, knee, elbow pads. So I think I would be OK for protection.

Thanks

I think you would be fine, but after a run on your heckler, you could always upgrade to rent a kona stinky 5 which handles it nicely. its a different type of DHing, faster, less tehcnical, more crusing down ski slopes and flying through woods sections. it depends on your type of riding, if you are just getting into it, its a good place to start. creek is more technical and rocky, while mount snow has a smooth soft dirt type feel. either is good Very Happy

Mount Snow is closer for me but I did watch the intro posted on the Mt Creek website and is looks like a lot of fun. Can I rip it up on my KTM Wink

Now I want to ride both.
