I watchecd a little XC, man xc is gay... xc bikes today are pretty much road bikes.. all the xc course i saw looked really really tame... saw tinker, man that guy looked old... -GEOFF

hey G-off,
why are you bashing XC?
thats lame man.
lameness.
Tinker is the man...he is riding his bike right now as I type this.
Have some respect!!
The guy does solo 24 hour efforts, wins, and then shows up and races a Norba XC National!

he is fit as f**k!

anyone who can ride 28 miles at a race pace and climb and descend Mt. Snow in wet roots 4 times in a row with 1.8 tires front and rear
on a 22 pound bike gets my respect!!

imagine riding Mt Snows wet roots up & down with 1.8 tires with a 80mm fork!!!!
holy SHit!

You should get out there on an xc bike for 3 hours and explore the woods!

DH is great but there is alot more to bicycling than a 5 minute descent.

lol i was one of those ass clowns in sport too lol....although i did screw up and make an ass of myself on the beginning of the woods section of the course...slipped on the roots...really really really dumb mistake. it was fun though.

Those roots ate me for breakfast during practice. Until I figured out that they were easy if you just stuck to the left.

All of the racing at Mount Snow was fun fun fun! I did better in Mtnx than DH, as usual. Although the Mtnx course was by no means a dirtjumps trail it was an excellent race course. I doubt that anyone who saw last years event as well would say that the racing was better. Last year was "follow the leader." This year was more a fight to the finish Smile Some more jumpable jumps would be nice though.

i have mad respect for tinker... he rips, for someone his age to compete with the younger guys takes a lot. btw, i'm not some young punk kid who's parents gave him a dh bike... i've purchased all my bikes myself, raced XC for a number of years and paid my dues...i'm just saying even with the better bikes of today the courses are way faster/smoother then they used to be back in the day. oh yea, and that last comment is pretty ignorant, i don't even own a dh bike

MTX Course design was good. However, I wish they built it a little earlier so it could have settled more. It was too squishy in the upper section
