I want to first use this forum to thank everyone who has made Iron Horse Bicycles one of the top names in the downhill and freeride market, especially on the East Coast! You guys really are what motivates us to make new and exciting products. For 2003 I focused the line squarely at the needs of riders. For the SGS-Series this is obviously you guys, the downhillers and freeriders. I designed the line to better suit your needs on the mountain, in the woods, and on the trails. I have done my best to listen to what you guys are saying out there through forums like this one, on the trails, and at the races. This truly is a line by riders, for riders!

Also, I want to thank Jon and Brady for working hard to get this info out to you guys. I picked H-Cor to debut these bikes because I knew it was where the heart and soul of the riding community comes. There's no politicing, no funny business; just friends on the boards and on the trails!

Enjoy the 03 line and please feel free to post your comments!

Hmm.. wonder if dw had anything to do with that. Cool

I think the reason for you picking Hcor is very cool ska todd. It's good to know we're viewed that way.

Anybike that comes speced with profiles and an e13 guide, just f**king rules plain and simple. Its about time company did that. I remember when Iron Horse was that much of a house name around here. That all changed with the Chain Reaction serries. Im thinking my next bike is going to be an Iron Horse Very Happy Very Happy

I have not seen any of these bikes in my local area. I have heard about them once in a while, probably from the members of this board. I took a peek and all I can say is, "Mmmmmm! YummY ! Can I have sooome?! Razz

I drool for an up close look at the TEAM bike. The cockpit geometry looks good for my preferences and it comes stock with some top rate components.
Most of the line has echoes of the Intense line of bikes (a good thing in my book). But if your company was taking rider preferences in account, then any Fast, Strong Downhill bike will look similar I guess. Smile Is it going to be that area of price range too? Sad

The Hollowpoint frame shapes remind me of like the SC bullit (when it is small frame and doesn't have the funny little curve).

My view is that of someone new to Mountain bikng and full suspension bikes. But I am wanting to buy a frame I can race with in the near future. Looks like your bike just made 2nd on my list of 5 finalists to consider Very Happy

Thats one crazy lineup. Are u guys the first to use the e13 guides? Looks like u got a really nice leg up as far as usin the 1.5. And that camo green SGS is total badass, never really seen a color like that. It seems to me the sinister has much steeper head angle than the bikes george and kyle had? Those looked more like the stout to me... Cant wait to see all these get out n about, way good stuff.

Looking good, i like the laid back but still nice graphics. I think that the SGS Pro and Expert will sell like hot cakes. I have a question... how similar are your front triangles on the SGS series to the FTW Motorhead? Do they use the same tubing? Also, what changes have gone in to the frame this year?

hey ska todd -

why the big difference in prices (1500 vs 800) between the SGS pro and team? i am sure hte 5th element is a big component, but not $700 worth. what else different?

Wow,what a cool lineup, love them all except for two issues, first(and foremost)the local IronHorse dealer is a stinkin' sporting goods store Evil or Very Mad ,And second, which I could never verify due to the fact that I'll never see one,the swing arm on the DH models looks spindly, thinner than my old FSR enduro, which flexed like hell in the turns, biggah is bettah I say

I am not sure where FTW gets his tubing but I can tell you there is no connection between the two bikes.

From last year we have added a 1.5" headtube. We also changed the dropout and the linkage. These will be VERY different from last year's model. These changes didn't make it to the catalog. Watch for pics from the trade show.
