There are a lot of good short-travel, slack geometry bikes out there these days.

I agree... was on a Cannondale Moto carbon at the begining of the season for XC for a month and I fell in love with the bike... Geometry is super tight and the bike is light as hell... Felt like I was riding a BMX bike on single track. It comes stock with Fox front and rear with a 3 position travel adjust to 160m on the fork and a nice and easy propedal switch on the DHX air... pedals up just as good as it comes down. Other than that the Nomad is sick, the new one is supposed to have shorter chainstays and a slacker headangle on it, gonna be a little more "gnar" friendly.

I am selling all of my bikes, I have had it with all the rain. I am going to use the money twards a Real Doll seeing as how spending tons of money on expensive bikes that I never ride is just like fuking myself.

i just back from whistler... and damn has DH bikes changed. I primarily saw SC forks with what looked to be 7" of travel and the rear suspension looked to be about the same.

i rented a demo 8 from evolution. the frame was amazing...but the boxxer on the front blew. f**king horrible fork. im guessing its a rental and if it was tuned to me, it would be ok..but man, i was blowing through the travel on everything.

i really want a demo 7 with a 7" sc now!!!!

god...being up in whistler really made me miss DHing. i wish i could still afford to do it.

What were you in BC for? Lots and lots of short travel slack bikes being produced now. And they are really fun. I did the review on that Mongoose and loved having that bike in my quiver. I got to get me another one now.
