We are working to get things back on track and finish what is left of this series. Rest assured we are working to try and save what has turned into a mess of a race series. The series is now being run by the management of the various venues with help from myself.

Why do you keep saying the 4 races that have been run? There have been 5.
1. May 5/6 - Duryea Downhill, PA
2. May 12 - Massanutten Yee-Ha!, VA
3. May 20 - Diablo Freeride Park, NJ
4. June 2/3 - Plattekill, NY
5. June 15-17 - Wisp, MD

The GE race at Wisp June 15-17 was changed to Sept.29/30 early in the year.On the GE website it was noted as such

I was under the impression that the revision on race 5 was the venue change from Whitetail to Wisp. I do not think anyone ever said that date was not part of the series.On the web page it just says revised? nothing about canceled. I hope this series happens again next year. we can only hope we get all the information early and up front.

We hope the series will be back next year in some format and there are a number of dedicated people out there that will insure that it is organized and run correctly.

This was posted on another board right after the race at wisp from the promotor. Is this no longer true?
"results form each race will be submitted to USAC seperately. The Combined times are what will be submitted to the GES. For those who did not compete in both DH races, they will be scored with the slowest time in the class for whichever day they did not race. FYI there was only about seven people ( out of 247 total entries) who fall into that catagory.

To clear up some confusion the four races that have occurred thus far are:
Duryea May 5/6
Massanutten May 12
Diablo May 20
Plattekill June 2/3
As far as I know originally a GE race was scheduled for Whitetail June 15/17 but this venue was cancelled and replaced by a race at Wisp - but the GE race for Wisp was scheduled for Sept. 29/30.So there have only been 4 GE races to date.

As late as June 1, this was being proffered as a GES race on Todd's "official" website for the series.

The Capital Cup IS the gravity east event. The combined time score is what will be submitted to GE. We will award each DH race seperately and have trophies for the overall.
