Gravity East Coast National Festival at Plattekill Bike Park

Gravity East Coast National Festival at Plattekill Bike Park will feature full slate of events starting July 4th and continuing thru July 14th, 2008. First up is the 4th leg of the 2008 Gravity East Series. Racers from all over the nation will be here to test the terrain at Plattekill Mountain's Bike Park infamous "Whiners" downhill race course.

The Park will be open Friday, July 4th to pretest the course and freeride the hundreds of trails that Plattekill offers. Official Practice will be all day Saturday and Sunday morning with freeriding open all three days. The Pro payout will be $500 to first place finisher and pay 5 deep. Saturday will also feature the second Dual Slalom Race of the season. The all new 2008 course featured very tight racing at the first dual slalom race two weeks ago.



GRAVITY EAST RACE SCHEDULE
Friday, July 4 -- race practice and freeriding 10am-5pm
Saturday, July 5 -- race practice and freeriding 9am-5pm, Dual Slalom Race 3pm

Our Famous BBQ will be featured Saturday Nite along with a few Bike Videos and Drink Specials!
Sunday, July 6 -- race practice and freeriding 8am, Downhill Race 11am

GRAVITY EAST RACE FEES

DS $30 Sport/Beginners/All Women ($20 if racing DH)

$40 Pro/Experts ($30 if racing DH)
DH $40 Beginners; $65 All Amateur Classes and Pro women;
$75 Pro men (all DH entries incl. 2-day ticket Sat/Sun)

FRIDAY TICKET for racers: $15. FRIDAY TICKET for non- racers: $30.

For Racers arriving early to prepare for the July 12 & 13, East Coast National at

Ski Windham or the 2008 National Championships at Mount Snow July 16-20

Plattekill Bike Park will remain open Monday July 7th - July 14th

for Freeriding, Camping, and Practicing DS and XC, with a special pricing of just

$40 for 7 days of riding !!!
Day passes are also available for $30.



* Come to Plattekill to ride after the 2 hour practice slots at Windham.

* Use our campground as your home base for the East Coast Nationals, Camping is just $10/day per tent.

* Windham features terrain similar to Plattekill as both mountains are located in the same mountain range and last years Plattekill Pro Champion designed the Pro/Expert course

HOURS JULY 7 - 14

XC Trails open 8am-6pm
Lifts operate:
12noon - 6pm Monday-Friday

10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday



DIRECTIONS FROM WINDHAM to PLATTEKILL:
Take rte 23 west to Grand Gorge, then take rte 30 south to Roxbury. In Roxbury turn right onto Bridge Street and follow county route 41 for 5 miles into our parking lot

Windham is less than 20 miles from Plattekill Bike Park

I was told both lifts will be running, but just double on friday.. the tripple will start up a little later then the double on SAT-SUN Very Happy
