My friend said that the world cup has a rider weight limit of 200lbs. On rockshoxs' website, I dont see anything about rider weight. I was wondering if he read it wrong, and it was 200lbs. of air? I weigh 235lbs. plus clothes and armor. Is this a fork for me or will i just destroy it. Any info would help, thanks.

I have never heard of a weight limit on the WC boxxer. If that was the weight limit, Rennie blows that out of the water. That guy is around 225.

true, but you also have to realize, that he gets his rebuilt after every couple of runs! i personaly think the fork is crap, its my second one that ive owned, an after a weekend of hard riding, you have to take am apart an rebuild. gets kinda of annoying...

I always see you trash talking the WC's and its hard to belive for me. They are the best performing fork that I've ridden (40 comes a close second). I mean I am a 150lb rider but I do however thrash the shit out of my fork and bikes for that matter and the only issue I've ever had with the ones that I've owned was the stock seals from the 06' started leaking at Whistler, but once I replaced them it hasn't acted up at all to this day. I also still ride with the guy who has my 04' which I think was the first year for the solo air and his is dryer than can be.... An oil change a season can go a long way.

that would make no sense what so ever, cause even a 150 lb person can exert a ton or more of weight on a bike when they do a drop

my team pisses oil from the floodgate knob. I know that have nothing to do with anything but I just wanted to chime in.

I would like a WC just for the adjustability of the air spring

Your floodgate must be open then.

I have blown up every fork imaginable and I weigh 135 with gear. Manitou, Fox, Rock Shox can't handle my brilliant riding. Very Happy

I loved my Boxxer WC for 6 weeks until the air side went - then the compression side lost adjustment. It's back at SRAM and I have a Boxxer Team for backup. I actually like the feel of the air fork over the spring. It just feels smoother - at least while it was working. Don't get me started on Fox, great simple fork that needs some stronger lowers or smaller diameter tubes.

I think either the Team or WC could handle you, just don't land short on the doubles. Shocked

Get an Avalanche, soaks up everything you throw at it & it's absolutely bombproof.

The only downside is they are 4 pounds heavier than the fox 40.

I'm 210 (not sure what I weigh with gear on) & I love mine, best $ I ever spent on anything bike related.
