I destroyed my other silver ones the first ride I took the bike on. It has been ridden, but I had a bunch of temporary parts on it when I did it. Was waiting for my parts from Hope to come from England (must special order colored rotors) and the spokes to come in to build the wheels. Why 1/2500? I was in aperture priority mode so that was all canon's decision for the speed. _________________ I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it. I got to rotate the banjo fitting on the caliper to eliminate that arc. Just didn't want to mess with it as I already bled the brakes after putting in the blue bore caps. _________________ I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

Couple good tips, you're rear brake cable should definately be run on the inside of the top rear swing arm. just take the brake off and re-run, no need for re-bleeding. Watch that rear derailer cable, looks hungry for something. Where the cable is run near the pivot, run the cable loose and wire tie to the frame. Where the frame wraps around the shock, the lower part that connects to the bottom bracket that is. Put some velcro between your cables and frame, they will wear cable marks !! Been riding the old and new frame for 3-4 years now. Already had all those issues. The bike is sick, sweet brakes. One other thing watch all your pivots. That bike is one of the smoothest rides when tight. They have a tendency to wear the bearings quickly depending on the trails. Once that main pivot comes loose put red loc tite inthere and your good. It's a good idea to have extra bolts and bushings with that bike. I still ride my turner, love it, things rails like a m-ffffr. There's a good write up in one of the mags about the new DHR if you haven't already seen it. Good Luck with new ride !!

I'm on my second season with it and will be racing it next year too. How did you get a Shimano derailer to work with the hanger? It doesn't allow the derailer to rotate. I wanted to use my short cage road derailer but couldn't get it to work - had to go with a X9.

As to the brake hose, it runs best outside the upper "seatstay" on this frame (no stress on the hose fittings in this position). My last turner it did run on the inside. Sean, dérailleur works fine. It is somewhat difficult to get it onto the largest cog on the rear but that's it. _________________ I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.
