That's the scary thing. It's like a Plattekill clique. We all know each other but anybody coming across this site to get some info on Plattekill or other wise would be scared by all the gay porn. I click on the Plattekill race thread and see all kinds of stupid stuff.
We all like to bust each other and have fun but it could be cleaned up a bit around here.

The funny thing is I can only get this site at work. At home it says it isn't redirecting correctly and will not show up.
How about personal threads labeled like:
Delta House content: NSFW (Threads)
And informative threads labeled like:
Plattekill Race 1 Information
So I know what I can click on at work without my boss thinking I'm surfing for gay porn.

Good call guy, but we are gonna have to call it something better than that. I for one know there are a lot of mud slingers on here, and thats part of a site like this of to bust balls but most importantly to interact with other riders.
I know the gay pics and stuff like that are getting bad, but the bal busting pics and the trash talking happens on the tral too. No one here has ever attacked anyone personally besides for one instance that i can recall and that issue was cleared up with in a day.
Come on guy live a little.

I can't think of anything bike related to talk about. If i need to buy something, i pretty much already know what I want. Other peoples opinions on things aren't any good, to me, anyway, besides probably Boogenmans.
So let's talk bike stuf...
Let's say brakes...I have probably had 4 sets of different Avid brakes and other sets of Hayes brakes. I didn't like the Hayes, so I won't buy them. I like the Avids so i will continue to buy Avid brakes...unless i get a good deal on Gustavs, mainly for some features that others don't offer. I don't need to have a debate or discussion on them. I bleed them myself and overhaul the calipers and levers myself...so really there is nothing to talk about. No discussion will change the fact that i thing AVid makes the best brake for the money when you consider performance, adjustability, and simplicity.
Same goes for Forks, I have had several Boxxers and am using a Fox 40 right now. I will replace it sometime w/ a Boxxer. Boxxers are easier to work on and the tuneability of an air spring vs a coil is just plain better. I have no interest in Marz or any others. No discussion needed.
Wheels...How a wheel is built is more important than what rim, spokes, etc you use. I prefer Mavic rims because they tend to bend before they break. I'm not willing to spend $800 on a wheelset so a discussion about I-9 wheels is useless to me. My wheels have lasted 2 seasons as is, which blows me away if you've seen some of the ridiculous things my bike does while I am flying head first to the earth.
Shifters... I have had XTR and X.0. Sram makes a better product.
Tires...I learned the hard way to only go with Maxxis. They just plain make the best tires for DH racing in the East.
Suspension design...that is just way to played out. If someone is deciding what frame to go with from the internet, that is their problem.
I think what you find on this site is a bunch of the same kinds of people that really don't need to discuss the DHX vs the Roco vs the Revox vs the Vivid vs the CCDB vs BOS vs just filling that area of your bike w/ marshmellows. The CCDB is the best shock you can get today and the Vivid is going to combine some of the features that the CCDB has at a lower cost making it probably the best value. Nothing will be better without hi and low speed rebound.
That's the kind of thing teenagers do. A lot of people on here have been riding bikes for a long time and aren't looking for a 15 page thread on the differences between XTR and X.0. ( Although there is a lot of useless crap like the Platty vs Diablo threads)
I'm not saying questions will be ignored, in fact, they will probably get answered better here than other places.
So what should we talk about?

No we can go back to posting pictures and chatting because any possible bike related subject can just be referenced to pterodactyl's post.

If I could figure out how to post a picture, I would, again. I posted one, once. It pretty much has any gay posting that I could put on here in the future covered.
Wanna talk about seatposts?...bar ends? who makes the best cassette? Brass nipples?
Bring it.
Any questions about wrist injuries? I'm an expert there also.

Wow, this took longer than I thought it would to degrade back to where we started. At least it's not gay porn.
