Thanks to jim and his dad for letting me use there massssive garage.. so Over the weekend i put a new lift/axles into my truck! a Dana 60 rear end w/ detriot and 4:56gears, dana 44 front w/ same gears.. 7" of front lift and about 7 and 3/4 lift in the rear. did the homemade shackle flip idea, prob gonna brace it up a lil more. Hopefully soon i can get new shocks/tires for it! check her out..

Why on earth would you flip your shackle without flipping the hanger? That's really going to limit travel. You get a little more lift at the cost of a decent amount of travel. Not that it's probably an issue at slower speeds, but I suppose you've eliminated the probability of shackle bind.
Truely, I'd make a drop hanger, move it back on the frame, and run a longer/non factory shackle. Just my $0.02

i've researched the shackle flip a bunch on coloradok5.com.. the aftermarket ones are basically the exact same thing i did. I just didnt want to pay the 180bucks for it. Most after market ones bolt in place of where the stock hanger is and uses the stock shackle.
im looking to get maybe another set of 35's or 37 mtr's... lotta $$ though.
