ive got a 1985 landcruiser, i went out and brought some tow hooks today, there are some holes in the chasis already, but they are to small.

would you recomend getting it done at a garage, or would it be alright to just drill them to the right size myself?

thanks

If the holes that in the frame are in locations where the tow hook would be useful, I would suggest enlarging them with a drill and using them... If not, Drilling the frame elsewhere should not hinder the overall strenth of the chassis.

That's correct. Make sure you use some decent sized washers though. If you're really worried, plate the area with 1/8" or 3/16" and drill through that.
