I think Sufjan Steven's "Greetings from Michigan" has to have knocked the Tortoise and Bjork album out of my top 5. I love that album SO much. Dungen's "Ta det lungt" is also worth a 2004 mention. McGrupp...with a name like that, I bet I can find plenty you'd like.
