Have you ever been by yourself and ended up looking over your shoulder because of an album you are listening to? What's the scariest album ever?

Mine? Infected Mushroom-Classical Mushroom. I was on my computer and slightly THC edgey and it was the first time I heard this album. The voice of Satan (the only way to describe it) comes in out of nowhere and starts repeating this unrecognizable line in an unrecognizable language. Scary stuff.

Shpongle-Are You Shpongled?...very scary in a dark, drippy, DMT sort of way.

Mr. Bungle- Disco Volante...you've GOT to love the knives being rubbed together Smile

Blotter avatar, DMT reference, you are becoming the defualt psychedelic
downhiller of hcor. Along those lines....

I listened to some old butthole surfers after smoking a bowl laced w/dmt,
""the shah sleeps in ......" that qualifies as scary considering an impenetrable Aztec-visual curtain dropped as soon as I exhaled (the one and only hit) and I was imobilized...comes on alot faster that shoving a keyload up the old nose.
Who's the chemist that decided that was fun? Actaully I think it's an animal trank. the curtain lifted in 10 minutes and I limped my brain off
and into the night. I can say this now cuz the statute of limitations on
being a self-destructive juvenile idiot expires after 20 years, right?

What chemist? You mean mother nature? Dimethyltryptamine is found in a massive amount of plants and trees. It's also found in your brain. I've never done it, but I read a lot on the subject. I'm convinced it's the chemical that's released in the brain at the moment of death. We probably won't ever know what it's function in the brain is (until someone volunteers to be probed *while* they are dying). The ethics are hard to tackle. And I think Terence McKenna decided it was "fun". Actually, he would never say that; he takes it very seriously. However, he was it's biggest proponent.

Haha...default psychedelic downhiller. Those don't mix, do they Smile It happens everywhere and it's not intentional. You spend enough time researching/being interested in something and it's bound to come back out.

the buttholes are defintely one of the most lysergic-dominated bands out there.

two just came to mind:

the dead kennedy's _fresh fruit for rotting vegetables_, when jello says "God told me to skin you alive" in "I Kill Children"...that kinda wigged me out when i was a younger lad.

and also Coil's _Themes from Hellraiser_. excellent spooky stuff.
