so I ordered the oil. I am going to order a set of silver springs tonight.
I am guessing then that the mod wont hurt if I do it or I dont do it.

Personally I don't have any complaints about my compression so I've left mine stock.

Well.. I am working out a deal with a person right now to sell my super8. If that goes through I am gonna get a v10. I sat on one at pkill this weekend and it was perfect for me. It felt a little front heavy, but I think that had to do more with the position of the seat and seat angle. For the first time in my life a seat was actually too low!!!!
I think the v10 will make a much better and faster rider. With a lighter more agile bike I will be able to bitch it around alot better and really hammer in the turns.
If I dont sell my super8 though I really dont care b/c I still love that bike. Im actually scared that if I get a new bike Im not gonna like it at much. Then Ill really be pissed.

I got to agree with james. After working at a bike store for almost 4 years, you'd be surprized at what people will believe. Alot of times people would bring in nice mountain bikes for tune ups with absolutly nothing wrong with the bike. We would completely clean the bike, maybe repack a bearing, *maybe* even oil the chain if they needed. when the customer picks up the bike they would swear it worked 100 times better.
I'm not saying you do this acadian, you're probably one of the most skilled riders on here so you know best. I'm just saying in general most people are pretty easy to influence in this way.

While were on topic, how much does it cost to send it in to TF to be customed out? (a 03' that is)

Good question, I always wondered about that. Have you tried sending Tim Flooks an e-mail? If you are in the US, the most expensive part will probably be the shipping...

Ok, hehe that's a little too much . How should I tune my 03' to take big drops (15+ feet), yet be plush on the dowhilling too? Basically, what do you think Tyler Klassen and those guys did to their forks... I weigh 155

just to take drops...My guss is that stock setting would be just fine.
I think the problem with mine might be the fact that it's 6", I was told there are some compression issues on the 6" Race, maybe i'll boost it up to 7"... anyone know what a set of spings should run me? Anyone want some stock 6" springs?
