"10 generations" from The Leaving Trains is such a good song. _Kill Tunes_ rules.
how were the pixies? they sold out their thursday show @ avalon in like 90 seconds. i knew a guy who was 2nd in line at tower records, and the guy behind him didn't get tickets.
i went to calexico instead, because i couldn't get tix.

Show was great, ended with "Where is my Mind?"...played two versions of "Wave of Mutilation".
They played for about 1.5 hours, and Kim had a spotlight solo. Awesome show.
Except for the opening band, I think they blew.
I forget their name.

f**k all you people who live in places with good music scenes.
The UMASS Pixies show was probally one of the most intense things I've ever experienced. I've been obssesed with them since like '95 when i was 14, and living way down in SC i never even had the slightest chance of seeing them play before they broke up. Mr. Black went into a diatribe about his dorm up @ Sylvan, Kelly Deal hung out behind Kims stack the whole show, and J. Mascis, Thurston and Kim Gordon all were in full effect rocking out in the row in front of us. And... f**king Mission of Burma opened! The place about collapsed when they went into UMASS. The floor looked like a friggin slayer concert, kids were crawling out of their skins with excitement.
Seeing them in my new hometown, with my girlfriend of 5 years with our co-workers was definetly a surreal experince, it almost made me feel like an adult...
