wouldn't go nearly that far, but it was cool to see jeff on the cover of _wire_ w/ a Roach trucker hat on.

i gotta actually give this a serious listen. i've had it on my karma for a while now but i usually just do random play and there are 3500 songs on it.

Well I'm judging prematurely, since I'm only listening to the first song right now, but it's a silly excuse for a bunch of guitar effects over 2 chords.

2nd song is marginally better. Cool chords, but the singer does nothing with them. Plus again the silly solo effected guitar to cover the fact lack of melody.

I'm going to let the whole thing play through now and I'll post an update if I change my opinion.
For now, definately not the greatest album produced by man.

nels cline was a good addition to the band. i don't have much of his previous work, but what i've heard i've liked.

Well I'm onto song 7.... And I don't understand this band at all. Under most of the vocals it's boring chords, and then there are some really interesting chords thrown in on just piano or guitar, and then its back to 1 or 2 chords for like 2 minutes of guitar noodling, and then back to the boring vocal line.

Admittedly I have odd taste in music. I've mentioned it before, and I know it...

Nuh uh, if you ask me, the best album ever produced by man is....

um.

Ralph Towner - Solstice.

Definately not everyone's cup of tea.

never heard of mr towner. what's he do?

james, are you referring to _sung tongs_? it's good. i've got theindian one, and that's pretty unlistenable.

for some strange reason, i've been on a monster magnet kick recently. Exclamation
