Seriously though, does anyone know where I can get a jukebox for a reasonable price? Everywhere I've seen them, they've been like $10k.
And it has to play 45s. None of this CD or Mp3 bullshit.

Foxforx...I don't know much about recording. We have some Alesis, M Audio and Dynaudio monitors in our Pro Tools HD setup at work, but I couldn't make an honest recommendation.
That's what the guy at work has! Dynaudio Contour 5.4's. Couldn't believe what he paid for the damn things.

WAY too close. The setup is as unoptimal as it can get, but that's the only spot I have for them (new place as of last week). That's why I want some monitor sized speakers.

No way in hell I would pay that much for a pair of speakers.. But I do give them the props that they sound good. He's got extremely to much $$$ in his stereo IMHO.... I guess it's around $40k or so. His amp is huge, sites on the floor and weights about 120 lbs.

yeah, $40K is a lot, but then again a lot of people drop that on cars.
i would personally not spend that amount of $ though. as i said, i'd like new speakers but the current ones sound good and i should put that $ into a college fund for my kids.

There is serious diminishing returns in high end audio. You can get 99% of the performance of the best system for 1% of the price. You just need to component match and try lots of stuff.

My point exactly. I could have another CAR for that price! I already have 3, 4 would be a nice round number

Well right now I only have 3 cars. Wouldn't mind a 4th.
Insurance isn't bad really... My '90 ZR1 is around 1200 a year.. My truck is around 900 a year I think....
Other one isn't insured right now, it's in the garage. I have a 2 car garage and a 2 car carport.

Someone is always blowing them out (sales) and I've never read a glowing review. I'm sure you could do better for the money. I'd like some Epos'.

But not for $6500 for the amp and $5900 for the preamp. HELL no I would have a new motor in my '77 Vette for that price. And a REALLY nice one at that.
