First off I'd like to throw my positive comments into the mix regarding the '04 SGS DH pro. I recently replaced my Banshee scream/monster T combo with a complete SGS DH pro and it's made a world of difference on the race course (just recently attained enough points to bump myself up to expert class). I found it a bit weird buying a highend bike from Sportchek (the exclusive distributors of Iron Horse in Canada), but the bike is fantastic. I find myself carrying more speed into rugged corners and pedaling hard throughout the rough stuff.

My question is a simple one. What are the dimensions for the bottom reducers/bushing/sleeves to connect the 4-way Swinger to the e13 linkage? It seems I have worn down the aluminum sleeve that fits over the reducer and between the shock and the e13 linkage, leading to a small amount of vertical play in the linkage. I am looking to order replacements, assuming that they are a standard part that can be ordered through my Manitou dealer. If they are a standard part, does anyone know the part number?

Thanks in advance

Simon Hirota

Bruce,

When contacting Manitou what exactly should I ask for. In my swinger manual it has the following table describing mounting:

HARDWARE KIT Part #
6.0 X 22.2 3 Piece 85-6207
8.0 X 22.2 3 Piece 85-6208

You mentioned that I need 8X60mm mounting hardware. Is that the dimension of the reducer that fits into the DU bushing? If so what is the dimension of the aluminum sleeve? I think my reducers are fine but the aluminum sleeve that fits between the shock and linkage is worn.

Thanks for the quick reply

Simon.
Here's the skinny. the 8X60mm kit will come with the correct spacers for the inner and outter sleeves. If your sleeves are worn and the bolt was bent and the inner sleve is bending. Usung the 8X60 spacer kit will stop the bolt from bending and the sleeves from wearing out.

Ok Simon. 2 things.
#1 Please try and condence all your questions and concerns into one message board. We rarly have time to communicate to each other in the office and luckly I just walked over to todd and he mentiond you needed some updated crossbrace bolts.
#2 your in and out of luck. I set up a shock bolt for you yesterday. But it dident ship out. BUT. I have one 8X60mm spacer set here. I will send that out with a lower shock bolt and the cross brace bolts. so you should have everything you need.

I apologize for posting the same questions on multiple boards. My aim was to get the info as quickly as possible so as to meet my shops Thursday order deadline. In the future I'll post my questions here. Thanks again for you quick replies. I'll be spreading the word in Canada regarding Iron Horse's excellent customer service.

You can go to your local Manitou dealer and they can order the hardware for you. It should be in their catalogue.
