I'm trying to get a trip to snowshoe sometime this July....got a few questions...What is the DH like there (i believe on like western side of the mtn). And wat is the "extreme park" like etc. pictures would be great. Is the riding there worth the trip from NJ?

Anyone got any feedback on the question asked above? I was down there for the Norba race but didn't see anything else but the course. My friends want to check it out but I am not sure if it is worth the drive time and $.

Try and go when the weather is cooperative. The freeride park still needs work becasue the trails are new. When the rain comes, the fresh trails turn to muck, but are still fun to ride. The variety of stunts are awesome, with teeters, bridges, drops, a-frames, etc. and some natural rock drops. The DH side has a new expert course that is in the same condition, still being broken in. The sport course remains the same and is fast when it's dry. Hope this helps! Thumbs Up

Will do bro. Video, pics, and everything inbetween. I can't wait to see how we're greeted by the mountain "officials" when they see tents popped up next to the life. heehee. Twisted Evil

Read through this thread: http://freeridesouth.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2993

There is a bunch of pictures from Snowshoe.

I drove 16 hours from FL and I think it was worth every minute of driving. If I lived in NJ I would go to Snowshoe once a month!!
