saint centerlock rotor question

Postby stflood » Wed Jan 23, 2008 9:33 am

I currently have shimano saint brakes (m800 i think) with centerlock rotors. I was wondering if i need to use the centerlock rotors with these brakes or if i could use regular 6 bolt rotors. Also, can i run avids with the same centerlock rotors or do they require 6 bolt rotors. Basically, are rotors specific to a given brake or does it not matter?

thanks for the input

i'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. you can basically use any brake with most any rotor and vice versa, so long as the rotors are the correct diameter.

with centerlock hubs u can only use centerlock rotors, but that doesnt mean u can't use different breaks.

There are adopters for center lock hubs to use other rotors.
