Nuvinci gearless technology (hub movie)

Go to the bottom and download the video. What do you guys think of this??

I don't trust the fluid dynamics and question the obivous weight. What about resistance??

i tried out one of the Nuvinci hubs at interbike and i wasn't that impressed with it. it was cool that the gear ratio was almost infinite but it felt a little weak. it felt as though if you were to put the power down the engagement mechanism would just shatter into a million tiny pieces.

Good idea though. Like Jamie said I doubt it can withstand a lot of abuse. But for a "cruiser" bike it's perfect.
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.
