Windrock race

Postby jtoomey » Sat Jun 26, 2004 4:27 am

The times and course were yet to be set as of last time I talked to Shawn. What is do know is that there is over $10,000 in prizes combined for both of the races. There WILL be a video premiere on the 17th at Manhattans in the Old City(you will likely need to be 21 for this one) and I believe that will be a few prizes there. If this rain ever stops we can finish the last few sections of the DS at Bigfoots. From what I hear the new "interstate" at Windrock is pretty nice. For more info on Times and Schedules stay tuned. By the way there is an XC race at Haw Ridge on the 17th. If you know anybody that still does that sort of thing.

XC and DS on Saturday and DH on Sunday. I believe last year practice for DH started about 9:00am and racing started around 12 or 1:00

Can you post the time of the video premere and which one as soon as you find out?
Also, being kinda lazy, is there a schedule for DS practice, qualifying finals? Will it be 4X or 2X? What about DH start times?

Awesome! I'm headed up to windrock in a couple hours.
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

Unfortunatelly I still refer to MTX and 4X as DS. It will be 4X.
I will get with the powers that be and see if I can get some start times.
Anyone ridden the new stuff yet? It is really nice.

So what happened on the DH? Any good Learjet stories?
What a shame about the MtnX. Friggin rain ruined an awesome course.
I think the MtnX should be rescheduled if they aren't going to count the points for the rain out. And maybe start the race earlier in the day.
