Yea, I know all about those Western NY hicks - I spent many of my formative years in Buffalo bars (Mulligans Brick Bar) - alot of lost brain cells!

That's at the other end of Allen St.
Brick Bar, the Old Pink and Neitzches were a blast!
Allentown was awesome freaks everywhere.
I lived directly across from Mulligans from 1990-1995.

Sorry about the spelling I don't have too many brain cells left anymore. Boogen is right, all the fudge packers hang out on Allen, but there are a shit load of freaks too. I learned how to handle my booze there when I was in High School, they would let anyone drink there, all you needed was a library card.

Mulligans sold cases of O.V. splits. The bartender would hand you the full case and just dump a bunch of ice over it. You'd walk away carrying the case away from the bar with1/2 the ice cubes falling off.
Then when you finished the beer, you could actually break it on the floor. The bouncer would just sweep the glass into the corner with the rest of the broken glass. Also the only bar that kept the lights on bright. Well, those are my type of Allen St. experiences.
Didn't mean to thread jack. Sorry and please continue......Dieter..................

I learned how to handle my bicycle one handed with 40oz in the other on allen st. Me and doughboy(killermike) would buy them at the terrorist minimart next to the old pink.

That was the Holley Farms Store. I used to sell merchandise to that store and the owners name was Ali. I always called it the Ali Arms Store.

1 night after parting I had to take a leak, so I go behind the Ali Arms Store, and all of the sudden I hear "Don't piss on me". Some bum was passed out behind the store in the dark. Man I caught it in time but will never forget that. Then I hopped on my Harley and ran over a cat on the 198. Weird night for sure.

Maybe we should start an Allen Street story thread?

I used to go to Mulligans in the 70's, some of you guys were still in diapers. There were no fudgepakers on Allen St. then.Monday nite was the biggest nite of the week at Mulligans. If you weren't there by 9 you wound up waiting in line to get in.The place rocked until closing at 4:30am.We used to get there at 8:am and party till closing and then drive 35+ miles back to Youngstown. Don't know how we made it all those years!

Yea, I lived in Youngstown for about 20 years and went to HS there.
I was a sailor spent most of my time on lake Ontario and then in my later golden years became a homo mountain biker.
