Re: Plattekill DH Series Race #3 8/23-8/24

Yeah, I can't see it being so crowded as to justify it, but those are the best days when you can ride the whole place.

July 4th weekend I rode until my arms couldn't hang on anymore, lol

I'll be up there, need a change of pace & haven't been to Platty since before Windham.

Re: Plattekill DH Series Race #3 8/23-8/24

Any word if they'll be running both lifts on Saturday?

I can't make it this Sunday to race, but I'd like to get some riding in.

Planning on doing the last 3 Platty races though...

Steve Our weekend didn't go so good either, on one of Richies practice runs this morning he came flying into the chute after Plattekill chute and tagged his rear wheel on the small tree that sent him down the chute broad siding the next small tree. Well long story short I just got home from the hos...

Get an Avalanche, soaks up everything you throw at it & it's absolutely bombproof.

The only downside is they are 4 pounds heavier than the fox 40.

I'm 210 (not sure what I weigh with gear on) & I love mine, best $ I ever spent on anything bike related.

Yep if your looking down the course its on the right. kind of a long sweeping left then a tricky right toward the bottom and then out to the ski trail. Gotcha, that should be cool. Kinda was hoping for a fresh cut course, but like I said, I've never ridden the yellow course so it's all new to me, lol

Re: Course for this weekend?

Thanks man, I haven't raced on that one yet, should be fun.

I thought I heard something at the awards ceremony last race that they were cutting a new course for the Nationals & wanted to use it for this race so it get's burned in.

Anyone else hear that or know anything about it?

Let me know if you hear anything, I've been hoping for a while that they would open for riding, the place has ALOT of potential, in my opinion.
