What BB said. I have a N80/SB28/SC-17 set up and it works pretty good (except for only sync'ing to 125th). BB left off the SU-4 option for Auto/TTL compatibility remote firing. You still have the line of sight problem, but it will eliminate the manual set up. FWIW. I very rarely use my SB28 in any m...

Burnside is a gnarly place. Actually it is one of the most gnarly places to skate, period. Most of the peeps who kick it there are as territorial as any surfer in sick spots. There are shady folks down there and the park is always on "probation" with the city. Meaning that a photographer with an axe...

Re: What exactly is....

Boston Bullit comes through with the good explanation! I'm guessing thatthe first shot BB posted was 2.8 at 150+mm ? This photo of my wife is 5.6 at about 150 mm. A little more detail behind her but still blurry. http://www.brockmcnally.com/albums/album10/Marla_Balloons.jpg

Re: What exactly is....

DOF is the amount of the image that is "reasonably in focus". It is controlled by Aperture (f#) An image shot at 2.8 will have a shallow DOF. Meaning that the area in front of and behind the subject will be blurry. A shot at f22 will have just about everything in focus. For around the house photos a...

Yup. Putting together the .243 again.

I got me one of the Paul SS hubs and a Singleator and I am just trying to figure out what gears to do.

I'm running 26's. It's mostly a low tech goof around ride since most of my jibbin takes place on four 64mm wheels lately.

Dearborn Heights Looks like it's bike friendly

Don't know for sure about this one in Westland It's a parks and rec park so an email to the P&R people would answer it for sure.

. When I was a kid, I used to wrestle. At first in sports, coaches say, don't be cocky or arrogant. Then, as you being to compete on higher and higher levels, everyone is good. At this point, humility is not always what you need. When it comes down to high level competition, with many people all be...
